Guildry News

Update – 18th September 2020

Dear Guild Brothers

The Guildry Council have met regularly in a virtual sense in the absence of Courts. The next date on our diary would off been an Autumn meeting on Friday 25th September, obviously this has been cancelled due to Covid.

The History Awards ceremonies went ahead virtually at the University and the QVS with plans in place for Balfron and Stirling High Schools. The remaining schools have yet to confirm their plans.

The Remembrance Service on Sunday 8th November will go ahead this year, however somewhat restricted. I shall let everyone know when i get the details.

Work has recommenced at Cowanes Hospital, however there is still a lot of work to be done and decisions to be made. A new Master and Factor has been appointed; Heather Ferguson is now in office in the lead up to the reopening of the building.

The AGM and Winter Court on the 2nd December will not go ahead as per normal, however we would like some feedback on the idea of a Virtual Court as we have been given permission by OSCR to have a digital meeting by using Zoom or a similar Webinar. If you would give some consideration and email me back on the email address below, I will put it to the Council.
